The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017 took place on 5th June in San Jose, California, and boy was it exciting. The presentation started off with a really cool advert about a new employee being asked to sit in the server room due to lack of space in the old office who accidentally shuts down the Apple servers. We can then see the consequences of people not being able to use their apps – scenes of car crashes (no google maps) and people handing out “selfies” on paper (no Instagram). PechaKucha 20 x 20 as part of Tate Modern Late Night, London

Last Friday I went to Tate Modern for one of their late night events. This time it was PechaKucha 20×20 and the theme was around Common Space. The format of these informal gatherings is quite interesting – the speakers have 20 slides (no more and no less) and each slide is shown for 20seconds, which gives a total of 6 minutes 40 seconds to present.
